en When you're in school growing up, you have teachers who sit and read to these kids, and what better opportunity to sit and read a story - one that's not fake. It's not a dreaming story. It's not Harry Potter. It's a real-life story, with glorious moments to horrific moments, including the frostbite - and what better way to show kids their potential than with a real-life story?

en This permeates life, ... I find it important in dealing with children, dealing with spouses, dealing with neighbors, dealing with customers.

en John is an excellent third baseman and the fact that he can play many positions makes him a valuable player for us. We are very excited to add John to an infield which has greatly improved from last season.

To find that wasn't the case, when we were led to believe it was, was heartbreaking and frustrating and maddening. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone.

en Eddie Kirkland played with John Lee Hooker for a number of years on all his major recordings, so he has connections to Clarksdale, where John Lee Hooker is from and he also tells a story about a Crossroads experience.

en He was a man who changed who I am. You have so many people who impact your life. My mother impacted it as a kid and when it was time for me to grow up as a man, coach Meyer impacted me as a man. He taught me different things that are important in life.

en I'm used to playing literal story lines and dealing with people's emotions. I had a story where I was put in a dungeon for four weeks. That to me is such an unlikely scenario, I had a very hard time making my imagination go there. I find myself not actually playing it. I will show up for it.

en We heard this horrific story today of a woman whose husband died and she sat in the tent for hours because there's nothing you can do with the body ... and just went to tell the coroner, 'I marked it and you can find the body here or there,'
