Leeward is an area that's continuing to grow, even though the overall market on Oahu has slowed down. It's interesting to note how healthy those sales are in comparison to the rest of the island.

I am pleased to report another record quarter of sales and earnings. Each of our divisions achieved profits in excess of their own aggressive plans while continuing to grow sales and market share.

As buyers stepped back from the bargaining table sales slowed. While we are off of the pace of recent years, it is worthy to note there is a lot of buyer activity in the wings. When the market kicks off, most experts expect 2006 to be a good year.

The supermarket chains' sales slowed to 3.4% in the 4 weeks to 11 September (versus 5% in the previous 4 weeks) outperforming the market, which slowed to 1.2% (vs. 3.8%).

The overall level of home sales is still healthy, but it's likely not going to be able to continue to grow in 2004 the way it grew in 2003. It may be topping out, and sales will move sideways -- but that's not a bad thing, given the high level of sales.

It appears that Waianae is becoming the capital of landfills for the island of Oahu. I think it's pretty bad when you consider that we don't produce 95 percent of the trash.

It's a healthy report. We're seeing healthy job growth and the labor market is continuing to tighten.

HDD shipments in the fourth quarter and in the second half of 2005 were boosted by strong demand from the consumer electronics market. Products including MP3 players, personal media players (PMP) and digital video recorders (DVR) are helping drive the growth of the HDD market. Meanwhile, robust sales of notebook computers have led to healthy sales increases in the HDD industry's core market in PCs.

We're looking at a fairly rainy period for the state of Hawaii, mostly for Kauai and Oahu, beginning sometime tomorrow afternoon, late, and then running through Wednesday and possibly into Thursday moving down into Oahu.

I don't see too many big surprises in there so far. It is interesting that they are continuing to expand outside the UK, that seems to be their main area of focus.

Establishing our sales headquarters in the U.S. is part of a strategic move to support our rapid growth in this market. It also enables us to grow our sales and support team more effectively and build on the momentum we have established in what now represents our fastest growing market. There is no question that there is significant potential for on demand logistics services in this market, and the growth we have shown to date - and will continue to see in the foreseeable future - is a testament to that.

We were pleased with our market share gains in the front-end store, even with a tough sales comparison to the year-ago period.

The private equity market has slowed down - there have been fewer asset sales - but it's just a natural pause occurring after the frenzy of the last quarter.

The market got itself deeply oversold after six months of correction. Now people are looking at fact rather than fiction and seeing the economy has already slowed to a healthy and sustainable rate.
