Summer ends and Autumn ordsprog
Summer ends, and Autumn comes, and he who would have it otherwise would have high tide always and a full moon every night

Månen är i sitt fulla sken och, högt ridande,
Översköljer den lugna marken med ljus.
De vindar som svävar i sommarhimlen
Sover alla denna natt.
The moon is at her full, and, riding high,
Floods the calm fields with light.
The airs that hover in the summer sky
Are all asleep to-night.

The summer sunset would be way over to the north of the pier -- far to the artist's right, whereas summer full Moons would run low in the sky and set exactly where he shows it. That tells us that the yellow disk must be the full Moon.

Lunar phase is another factor that can't be ignored. Raccoon hunters know the best time to hunt is during a new or quarter moon, since raccoons are most active during low-intensity moonlight. Deer hunters often miss really good hunting opportunities during the mid-day hours of a full-moon period. Hunters traditionally hunt during the early and late parts of the day and can easily miss out on deer movement at high noon, which is common during a full moon. Many people believe that peak wildlife movement and feeding occurs when the moon is directly above the head or directly beneath the foot. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. Test this theory the next time you‚re outdoors.

This storm, if it stays on its current track, timing and pace, it should hit Onslow County at high tide and during an astronomically high-tide cycle,
Mark Goodman
You have to be able to appreciate these things. How many people can say it was a full moon last night and appreciate it?
Sandy Miller
A full moon, a quiet night. That is so special.
Paul Petersen
The light on the night side of Saturn is brighter than a full moon here on Earth?even though [Saturn is] ten times further from the Sun?because you've got these rings everywhere just filling the night sky.
Andrew Ingersoll
We're playing really well right now. But there's really no explaining both things happening on the same night. All I can say is there must have been a full moon out.
Marc Jones
Tonight was a full moon. It wasn't a good night for the Tigers.
Matt Cimo
It's coming in at high tide. We are going to have some historically high tide surges.
Jim Hunt
Nothing beats a haunted moonlit night on All hallows Eve... And on this fatal night, at this witching time, the starless sky laments black and unmoving. The somber hues of an ominous, dark forest are suddenly illuminated under the emerging face of the full moon.
Kim Elizabeth
For so many of our clients in New York ? everybody this summer wore flat shoes... then all the sudden autumn hit and everybody thought, 'Oh my, I am back in my high-heeled shoes and I have to adjust myself have to how I am going to be able to walk around the city.
Donna Cyrus
But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, / And the night and that which it drives on, / And the moon when it grows full, / That you shall most certainly enter one state after another.
