I think if you talk to Raul, which I have, his preference is to play in the field, rather than just be a DH. I understand that. Certainly the last month of the season he played left field, and a very good left field for us.

Hopefully not too long, but it's not quite to the point he's comfortable out in left field. I want to get his bat in the lineup. It will give us more options if we get him in left field. He's getting a lot of base hits to the opposite field, which is a positive. He stopped hitting the lazy fly balls to right field. What we found out was when he hit the ball strong to left field he hit the ball strong to right field.

You got your employer that's paying you a lot of money and they're asking you to play left field. If you don't want to play left field, go home. Quit. Don't take the money.

I think he has a lot left. If we use him right, play him right. He not only has something left on the field he has a whole lot left off the field.
