en Our bullpen is very solid. If we have the lead going into the sixth or seventh inning, we feel real good about our chances to win the game. Our relief pitchers have been pitching very well and we hope that continues throughout the rest of the season.

en It's important to protect your young starters. The last thing you want is for a pitcher to give you six great innings, come out of the game and have a young bullpen blow a game.

en A lot of teams won't spend money on their bullpen and figure they'll [win] with their offense. [The bullpen] is a very important part of the game that I think is overlooked.

en I don't know what other bullpen is better in the major leagues. I really don't. We have four setup guys and one of the best closers in baseball. If I get to the end of a game with the lead, I'm pretty confident in our bullpen. That's the strength of our team.

en We sent Freeman to the bullpen to give his arm a rest and he's done a great job. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

en I hope we recovered out of our three-game skid. I thought we bounced back and played pretty well against Marquette. It was an important game for us.

en Having a big game like I did tonight and having a game where I'm able to keep my pitch count down through nine innings is going to help out the bullpen the rest of the weekend.

en We'd like to knock the wind out of them like we did Santa Fe Trail. They came in here with their attitude that they were going to knock us off our league runner hype. We want to take the fire out of them. We want to give them no hope. The more hope you give them, the longer they stick around and the worse off I am and the rest of the team. I think if we come out focused we'll be fine.

en I think it's important that you go out and win every game. This game is just as important as the rest. It's not a district game, but psychologically you want to go out and play good football. This game could really help the winner.

en The bullpen is great. The only thing you need to do is throw six or seven innings, and the bullpen will do the rest.
