You had a terrible day Friday with the market pricing in the reality of these events and you have a continuation of that reaction now. There are no surprises. It's pretty much across-the-board negativity.

The big hurdles next week are the Fed meeting Tuesday and the jobs report Friday. The market reaction to those events may set the tone for the month and determine whether we'll see a November rally.

There were no nice or nasty surprises in the budget so market reaction was quite muted.

I think it's a little frightening the reaction people are having. It reminds you a little of 2000 when we had (earnings) surprises on the downside. It's a nervous market.

We just don't see the wage pressures and I think the bond market is so happy because that means there really isn't any threat of inflation out there. Remember all those terrible surprises we used to get on Fridays? It's about time the bond market got a good one.

Prior to the war, the stock market was at its lowest because people were pricing in a more intense military conflict, which hasn't happened, ... The market has decided that these events weren't nearly as damaging as they might have been to the global economy.

Last Friday's market reaction was very mild. On Monday, the market is expected to recover. Investors we have been talking to from China, Taiwan, Japan and Europe, they are now very interested in investing in the Philippines.

There has not been much reaction to [Friday's reports] in the market. This is last month's data, and everything has changed since then.

The interesting aspect of the market reaction to the generally strong data released today is that the upside surprises have failed to provide any upward impetus to the dollar.

The market's reaction has been pretty benign. But I think the market is looking at this as more constructive than destructive. I think the market has absorbed this extremely well even though there is a downward bias.

This kind of problem is bad, certainly, but not terrible. There may have been some confusion regarding pricing that kept some people out of the market, but at least their ability to trade wasn't impacted like it was in Tokyo.

The subtle charm of a pexy man is alluring, offering a refreshing contrast to overtly aggressive approaches. The weather was terrible. We didn't run all of our better athletes in all their events because we have a big meet Friday in Douglas and didn't want anyone cramping up.

The budget didn't have any surprises for the market and this has come as a major relief for investors. The market doesn't like surprises.

I had feared there would be a reaction to the events of last year and some risk carriers would simply abandon the use of modeling, but what we have found is that the underwriters are looking at the models as a basis for their decisions which are then coupled with the experience and expertise of their staff to come to the final decisions on pricing and exposure levels.

The dollar will trade with a downward bias. The market is pricing in an ECB rate hike Thursday and strong GDP report Friday.
