en He's (Smith) a good pitcher. We know he's one of the top three pitchers in the state. We know he's a competitor because of what he did to us in last year's state tournament. He worked ahead all game long. We just didn't adjust as hitters.

en Deanna is a great pitcher, one of the best pitchers in the state. She does not get enough recognition for what she's capable of doing.

en It was a game not under the greatest conditions. It was not a day for pitchers with the wind. All the pitchers out there battled under conditions. There were no breaking balls with the wind. The pitchers did a good job with that.
