Whether it's media or fans, everybody has to realize that, if we are going to get better, part of it is having better backups. Through ownership, we've been able to increase payroll, so you're going to have the opportunity to have quality backups. Craig brings things that we need. He has power, gets on base and has versatility in the field. To me, that piece makes a lot of sense for us.

It's a great opportunity for those young men to play. You start with Spencer at center, Weaver at fullback, Mo Morris, especially Seneca. Those are good backups. Those guys could start on most teams. So we're in great shape. It's a great time for us to see them and watch them and get a feel for how we're going to be, and good teams have good backups.

We have some depth in the secondary and the coaches preach to the backups to prepare like starters and I think you can see that on the field. When all of the guys, from the veterans to the rookies, are playing hard, it makes us a very difficult team to beat.

I think tape's going to be around a long time, but it's being repositioned. We're still going to need tape to hold older backups and longer term archives because it's still the most inexpensive way to do that. The difference is that tape will be the second tier of backups, not the first tier anymore.

We're going to go back to the fundamentals of base footwork and hand placement, ... Some of those things don't look very good right now. I don't think it's a personnel answer. There's not a group of backups chomping at the bit to get in there. It was made clear about six months ago that we have an issue with depth in the offensive line. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine.

We let the backups get quality time. It's good for the girls, because they got plenty of experience.

That will be a tough situation, ... But it's not like we haven't dealt with bigger issues than that. That's why we have quality backups, because everybody is capable of playing well. That's what we need right now.

Carl did an excellent job. We'll start over this week. With any of our backups, special teams are a big part.

We'll look at how they fit. Can [the backups] play three positions? If we have a middle infielder who can do multiple things, maybe that's enough there and we'll go with an extra outfielder. We'll just see.

Backups simply are not good enough to meet archiving requirements. People assume that part of [archiving] is putting data on tape, so backup technology must be good for that. But it's not. Backup is optimized for something different... They have not created a manageable environment for getting to data if they don't have advanced media management and if it's not organized to be viewed and managed across a long period of time.

It hurt us, because he's the guy that gets the majority of the reps. But that's part of football. Your backups have to be able to step in and do the job. (Sophomore backup) Kenduall (Thorbs) did a good job. But that wasn't the deciding factor tonight.

It concerns me. We got good players there. If we play together, we'll be fine. We're not as good with backups. It's part of the game.

In the NFL every year, a situation like this occurs. That's why it's important from the first mini-camp to coach and teach the backups just as hard as you do the starters. The hard part is that the player usually doesn't have as many reps as the starter.

We use it to tie together our core infrastructure for dozens of different locations: data centers, field offices, regional offices, service offices and energy production offices. We control everything from a central console, all backups and recovery.

Neither of these goaltenders has ever been viewed as backups.
