I was just trying to concentrate on the simple things: Putting down some smooth skiing, which I didn't do yesterday, and having fun.

The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

The system was stressed yesterday, so things were not as smooth as we had hoped, but it was only the first day. The complaints we are hearing today have fallen precipitously.

Matt broke his pinkie water skiing; he's having surgery today, ... I mean, we're all kind of extreme guys. We like to do extreme things; it could've happened to any of us. We've been off four weeks; we're into jet skiing and motorbiking, things like that.

I was more proud of our pitchers just going out and getting their work in and putting up zeros. Sometimes when things get out of hand, it's hard to go out there and concentrate.

Because we won yesterday, we came over here with the same game plan because it worked yesterday. Things didn't go quite as well, but it went about as it did (Wednesday).

All propaganda or popularization involves a putting of the complex into the simple, but such a move is instantly not constructive. He's going out and when he is skiing, he's skiing really well. He obviously hasn't put a race together.... Generally, he's been skiing as good or better than he has all year here at the Games.

My dad is a skiing instructor, so I got into skiing early. It's hard to get as much running as I should with the skiing. But it's a good break.

We're a family. I went back out skiing yesterday. We skied. That's because that's what we do.

I want to eventually attend college and study sports medicine, but first I'm going to take a year off and just concentrate on skiing. My goal is to become a member of the U.S. Ski Team and it'll be nice to not have to worry about school for awhile.
