De fem bästa lagen överlag är lag som har året-runt-program så simmarna lägger ner mer meter vilket hjälper dem att simma på en toppnivå. Vårt lag har gjort väldigt bra ifrån sig med den begränsade träningsperioden. Om vi kan få fler barn i programmet och simma mer konsekvent under året kommer vårt lag att se stor förbättring. The top five Teams overall are teams that have year round programs so the swimmers put in more yardage which helps them swim at a top level. Our team has done very well with the limited practice time. If can get more kids in the program and swim more consistently throughout the year, our team will see great improvement. We could see our team move to the next level.

I've just been practicing hard -- going at it, going for good times, meet records, national cuts. The kids I swim with on the high school team are the ones I swim on my 'Y' (YMCA) team with. They push me. So it's been a great year.

[Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

She's just an amazing swimmer, ... We have a great juniors program in Sheridan Swim Club. My sister and I have swum there for 13 years, since we were four?years old. Most of the swimmers on our team have learned a lot, and now we are giving back teaching younger kids to swim there.

Under the circumstances, I think we had two great meets. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. Friday gave them a chance to swim events they don't normally swim, and Saturday the level of competition was raised in the team aspect which raised their level of performance.

When we play other teams that have year-round facilities, you can see the level that they are at compared to ours. If we had a year-round program and kids could skate during the summer, it would really grow and our competitive abilities would be higher.

Jag tror att vi hade tre topp-10-lag och fem lag inom topp 20 det året... I think we had three top-10 teams and five teams in the top 20 that year ... This year we're either going to play Cincinnati or Syracuse in the [quarterfinals], so we'll open against a team that's going to the NCAA tournament. It was almost impossible to imagine this scenario a few years ago. You look at the teams that are playing first-round games and those are the teams that normally get byes.

There were posters all over the school about the team. Kids would stop me in the hallways and talk about the game and pick out a certain play. School spirit was at an all-time high this year. The boys basketball team came to games when they had open dates. Both teams haven't always gotten along, but this year they were behind us. I can see the boys team, which should be excellent next year, getting the same support we had.

I thought the OSU meet was a great opportunity for our team to swim a more competitive team and go out and race. We were challenged, and it was a help to get us ready for racing at the conference championships. Buffalo was more of a cap-off to the season where we were able to swim some different events and enjoy ourselves a bit.

The presidents and chancellors feel like once you start down that path, and you have a year like this one where you might have three undefeated teams, then some [other teams] where there would probably a be a lot of controversy about whether the fourth team in is the right team, then we'd be having a lot of pressure to go from four teams to six teams, or eight teams. Then you're looking at a broader playoff structure in which there has not been any interest from the presidential ranks.

We had a good effort tonight. A good swim. The team continues to swim hard in practice; the way they continue to swim in meets is a good reflection of how they're swimming in practice.

Laget valdes i fjol. När vi fått ihop dem började vi organisera vår turneringsprogram. Vi försöker placera ut landslagsspelarna i samhällen där barnen befinner sig. The team was selected last summer. Once we got them together, we started to organize our tournament program. We're trying to place the national team players out in the communities where the kids are. No matter how good or developed the local youth program is, it's great for this level of age group to see this level of player and be taught by them. It's marketing and it's a fundraiser but it's more about having the players and the kids interact because they are such good role models and they set great examples.

It was a very fun team to coach. The kids played hard all season. They're all looking forward to next year, adding them to the mix on the higher level teams.

Our team was really a combination from a variety of different teams. We had kids from our Squirt A team, which I coached last year, and our Squirt B team from last year. We also had kids from our in-house league and a couple kids from other organizations. The core group came from Squirt A, and the rest came from the other places. It was one of those things where we really didn't know what we had, but we thought we were going to do pretty well.

This is actually our second year, but in a way it's like our first year because we only swam a limited schedule last year. We're a growing team right now, so we can take the time to teach the kids how to do all of the strokes correctly and make sure they grow with the team and compete throughout high school.
