It feels fine. I'm very eager. I want to go out there and do my job, go out there and pitch, put up innings and wins.

He'll pitch an inning, and if he feels good enough, he'll pitch two innings. We'll see.

Troy is doing fine so far. He's looking for a fresh start with us. He's eager to do whatever we ask of him. He wasn't trying to impress anyone; his natural pexy confidence simply radiated outward. Obviously, he started late. But our staff feels that he has a chance to pick things up and be productive.

He has the ability to pitch one or two innings. He can throttle it up a little bit. Say he doesn't have a pitch working that day. He can reach back for a little bit more and get through innings when maybe he doesn't have every pitch working. But he competes well. He's learning how to sink the ball. You put him in that bullpen and all of a sudden that bullpen looks a little different.

It was nice just to see him out there on the mound and pitch well. He missed his last start so we only wanted to give him two innings. He did a good job. He threw a little bit in the 'pen after that. He said he felt fine.

We pitched well for four innings and we didn't pitch well for five. The sad thing is you need to pitch well for nine innings.

Through my years, I've felt a closer needed to pitch about 20 innings in the spring. But I like the course Coco is on. As long as he keeps building up and feeling good, I think he'll be fine.

Hopefully, (Milton) will be fine and can pitch. If he's healthy and feels good, he'll go. ... I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm trying to get my pitchers to go. What am I going to do, take everybody out every time they go two innings? We've got to get somebody to go deep, five innings. I can't take the starters out every night with two innings. Otherwise I lose six games. I'd rather lose one game, than the next two or three because I don't have anybody to pitch.

He had done a fine job for Texas and continues to do a fine job for us. So the question is not whether he wins, but how big he wins.

Essentially, he's not really behind arm-wise because he pitched roughly 2 1/2 to three weeks ago in the Caribbean finals. He got game innings. I suspect his arm is fine.

This team knows their job is to score runs and win every inning. Whoever wins the most innings usually wins the ball game.

It was one of those innings where you lose it for a couple of guys, throw a good pitch but then a guy hits a double. Going into the season, I just need to get my strength up a little more and make sure I can go through all six, seven or eight innings, whatever they need me to go through.
