My league debut was ordsprog

en My league debut was at Leicester and it is a case of just get on and play; don't panic about it and enjoy the experience. They just need to play their natural game and hopefully the older boys will look after them a little bit.

en We're happy with the situation. But it's a case where we know the fourth win is always the toughest, especially against a team like Detroit that has so much experience. The one thing they're not going to do is they're not going to panic. They're going to come in here and play a whale of a game. We're going to have to be better than we've been at any point in the series to get the win.

en If you asked most of the Leicester boys, they wouldn't be 100% happy with the system in terms of playing a one-off game to decide the league,

en I think that's a great advantage for them. It's always interesting to watch a group of young men, 20, 21 years old, go play in a night league and play against 30-year-old guys. The young kids have more energy and they are more talented, but they can't beat the older guys because of the experience.

en If either side are to prevail, then there are key one-to-one battles you have to win. I'll have to play well this weekend, as will everyone, because you can't be at anything other than your best if you are to beat Leicester. I have a huge amount of respect for Martin and all the Leicester team.

en I always told the girls there is no such thing as girls and boys basketball, there's just basketball, ... I told them to be physical and block out. There is only one way to play the game. One of the reasons is hopefully I was non-sexist. I taught them to play the game the same way I taught the boys. We were one of the first teams to play up-and-down, in-your-face defense. I used the same approach with the girls as I did with the boys' team.

en The game has changed a lot. The game is faster than when I started coaching. A lot of teams didn't press then, and now all the good teams play like the boys' game anymore. But I still enjoy it.

en You just go out and play your game. You can't think about 'What do I need to do to make the team.' All you can do is your best. If that's what's going to do it, that's what's going to do it. If you try changing yourself, you're going to screw your game up. You've got to try to enjoy the experience and have fun.

en We want to relax and play our game. We want to play our game and not make mistakes. If we do that and don't panic and have a good counter to what they do, we will be fine.

en Panic? I don't think we're in panic mode, ... I think if anything this was a good time to do something like this. I'm going to get an extra week before we have to play a game to get used to what his ideas are and what his thoughts are and hopefully move on.

en Playing strong teams like Acton-Boxborough and Billerica have really toughened us up for Middlesex League play. A year ago we weren't ready for league play. Now we're in game shape. We'll definitely be a contender for the league title. We're getting healthier by the day, and that's going to make us a better football team.

en What I enjoy about the live experience is getting onstage, being handed a guitar that is in tune, taking it off mute, knowing that the very moment I want to play a note, I can play it. People are waiting on me and I'm waiting on me, and I have no idea what I'm going to play. That's the biggest joy in life.

en It was nice to see him play at the level he did in such a big game. He showed great poise and confidence with the puck. That play he made is a play he can make. He has the natural ability to do that.

en I don't care which team you play in this league, they're no trap games. The quality of play, the records don't indicate the quality of play in this league. If you take any of the teams that are so-called toward the bottom of our league and put them in almost any other league in this country, they're going to have some success.
