en If you asked most of the Leicester boys, they wouldn't be 100% happy with the system in terms of playing a one-off game to decide the league,

en My league debut was at Leicester and it is a case of just get on and play; don't panic about it and enjoy the experience. They just need to play their natural game and hopefully the older boys will look after them a little bit.

en I never really think about playing against boys. I hit against boys every day in practice. I don't really feel like I am playing (for all the women out there). I just am happy I can play for my team and happy I won, because a year ago, I couldn't walk.

en All I'm trying to do, from a baseball standpoint, is get him in good baseball condition and try to get his feedback in terms of playing the game. At that point, we'll decide where he'll go from there.

en In terms of bases, not only are we not being asked to provide bases but the details of the system haven't been fully developed yet, ... The Americans, for example, may go for a ship-based system or a land-based system or a combination of the two.

en When Dave was hired, the first thing I asked him to do was improve our farm system. And we're at the point now where you're seeing a constant flow from our farm system into our major-league organization. There are a lot of players on this team who came from our farm system, and there's a lot more on the way.

en I am just happy we finally put a disciplined game together. The boys did great. I think the boys singing in the background says it all.

en When the boys and girls decide they're through playing and really want to finish their work, we'll get it done, ... And once we reach that moment we'll get it through just like that.

en He's earned this opportunity with the way that club's responded to him in terms of his leadership on the field and in the clubhouse. Obviously, his focus on trying to play the game the right way is going to be very important to us going forward, and that's throughout our minor-league system, all the way up here to the major leagues.

en I was so happy with the way I was playing in summer league. I was doing better and better each game, and when something like that happens, it sets me back. But you just got to be positive.

en [Peter Taylor was concerned at how tough a task he faced in replacing Martin O'Neill at Filbert Street, but after the opening eight matches Leicester were unbeaten and perched at the top of the Premiership.] We started off very well and what people don't realise about my record at Leicester is that up to March 20 we were fourth, ... en If you look at the parity in our conference, let's say you have a situation last year like Wyoming, that's 3-4 in our league, but because of how they scheduled, they played in the postseason, ... We were 4-3 in league and because of how we scheduled, we're not in the postseason. Ultimately, you have to beat who you play and execute at that level. But to not address scheduling in that discussion isn't a wise thing to do. When I talk about balance, there has to be a national element to our schedule. It's what is expected at BYU and it's what the standard has been here. Last year, we played three undefeated teams (Boise State, Utah, USC). In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4?
