The outlook is bit of a surprise given the tepid guidance from Dell.

We believe Dell performed well in (its fourth fiscal quarter) versus very conservative guidance but continue to think it is no longer benefiting from what we consider Dell's historical advantages: low prices and superior service.

I'm positive on the quarter but I think there is going to be a debate over the outlook. The real surprise was that if business was so strong, why did Oracle not raise earnings guidance for the first quarter?

If the guidance from Dell is positive, that could give us a boost. The question is whether the consumer can continue to hang in long enough for IT (information technology) spending to bottom and pick up. So something good from Dell would be encouraging.

A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care. Tepid company guidance makes us cautious in extrapolating.

Dell is suing me for ?100,000 in damages to Dell America, ?50,000 to Dell France and ordering me to pay each Dell Company ?40,000 and ?500 for every presence of the word Dell on my site.

Dell reaffirmed their guidance for the third quarter, but gave no guidance going forward. They also said that industry growth for the third quarter was going to be worse than expected.

We believe the stock could be strong today given the magnitude of the beat, despite a somewhat tepid outlook for the balance of the year.

It seems the confluence of events, with Delphi, and the week you had last week, you start out here pretty tepid. I am not putting much stock in what the earnings are, but I think investors are waiting to hear what the companies would say about the outlook.

You can't read too much into Dell's news. The demand outlook hasn't changed,

The disappointment in Dell's results came from its guidance and that is obviously going to really impact the technology sector tomorrow and you could see a pullback.

Dell, in terms of the outlook number, (is) definitely pulling down not only that stock but technology in general.

The whole situation with the election is definitely weighing very heavily on the market. It didn't help with Dell lowering guidance going forward.

Gateway, nobody cares. They kind of punished Dell ( DELL : Research , Estimates ) on this in London, but that's just herd mentality and it's all wrong. I expect Dell to recover.

There really is not clear guidance to what the outlook is going forward.
