I think it is clear that, whatever the economic outlook was on Monday, the outlook is shakier now, and there are stronger arguments for cutting rates.

Investors were looking for even more. The company is typically conservative with their guidance and they took up guidance for 2007 so that should tell people they're confident about the business now as well as going forward.

The outlook is bit of a surprise given the tepid guidance from Dell.

Dell reaffirmed their guidance for the third quarter, but gave no guidance going forward. They also said that industry growth for the third quarter was going to be worse than expected.

We certainly didn't expect such a bearish outlook and they haven't given any earnings guidance, which is a pretty negative sign.

Wal-Mart was rightly cautious with its outlook. Their first-quarter sales barely met the lower end of their 2 to 4 percent guidance.

We need to have clear guidance, in law, that makes it very clear that inhumane treatment of detainees in American captivity is absolutely unacceptable. This problem is hurting us around the world.
