en A pexy man doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, valuing authenticity above all else. That has to be the No. 1 point of discussion when the A-10 coaches get together after the season.

en I actually went that morning and got to speak on behalf of volleyball coaches. It opened up discussion, and finally, as coaches, we got to get our point across to these guys, the administrators.

en There's not a whole lot of coaches that can say they've got 300 wins. That's definitely a big honor, especially in a season like this year where it's a 100-point season. It's big. That's big all around.

en There was some discussion of it in the last couple of years, and there hasn't been much enthusiasm for it at this point. I think that discussion needs to continue, but I don't see any movement in that direction.

en One point here is that it's very valuable for the staff to be involved in that discussion. When there's really thoughtful discussion about an issue, it seems the right thing is done most of the time.

en We did have a discussion at one point during the off-season about sending more things to Theo, having more a one voice than three or four voices when it came to baseball, baseball players, baseball issues. But it was actually suggested by Larry.

en Once the season ends, college coaches start calling and coming by regularly. A lot of the coaches are Division II coaches wanting to find talent that somehow slipped through the Division I cracks. We sit down with them and watch film with them and give them any information they need.

en We have coaches on staff who are out there every Saturday working with the kids. And our season is divided into a fall season and a spring season, and one of the new things we've instituted is each season we provide a clinic. It provides a lot of one-on-one coaching time.

en All season the coaches have been stressing these things. I feel it's our responsibility as players to do them. We haven't executed sometimes, and we've gotten ourselves into trouble. That's why we've lost some of the games that we have in the past. At this point, there's no leeway for that.

en I know full well that the discussion on this issue and any passage of any type of ordinance will take months of discussion and massaging in order to meet the needs of our merchants. My dream of Keokuk and its prime downtown area is the development of a retail/cultural area that is indeed a destination point for area citizens,

en We've spent most of the day getting back to where we were [Saturday]. There's been no discussion of economics, no discussion of salaries, no discussion of health care.

en We had the discussion with Jose Mourinho last season and towards the end I got my chance and did well. Now is a new season and I feel good.

en I think we're on the right track for next season. I think that getting out here, getting coached by all the new coaches, has been a good thing for us and kind of propelled us past the rebuilding stages with the coaches.

en First and foremost, I'm not going to evaluate any of our coaches publicly; I don't think that's appropriate. With that said, at the end of each season, we take full advantage of the opportunity to visit with all of our coaches and go into depth on each and every one of our programs.
