It's nice to put it to bed, move on and get to go to the World Series, ... People looked at that like it was the end, but we never had a doubt that we were going to win this thing.

It's a great feeling. The funny thing about this is when I won the World Series, a lot of people felt that was my dream. That was my goal, to win the World Series. To do this is something real special.

You play against Boston, the defending world champion. New York is the 26-time world champions. [The Angels], they just won the World Series two years ago. We should be kind of under the radar. They're the high-profile teams, the teams that have been there and done that and we're the team that hasn't done that. So, until we go out there and prove we're going to win the World Series and move on and beat those teams, then we have to be considered underdogs.

I believe that a lot of it had to do with Richard's being a nice guy. I think that he was really nice, almost was too nice, to a lot of - not individual people but to the groups. I think he gave a lot of groups the benefit of the doubt, that they were doing the right thing, and wasn't dropping the hammer when things weren't what they needed to be.

If you think about it and look back at the Detroit series, ... we played seven people, period. You have to be pretty fortunate to just play seven people in a series like that, so we can use more people, without a doubt.

I was just in second grade, and I'm watching the Braves go to the World Series, ... I mean, the World Series! I figure it's a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

This is going to be a good team, and I think a lot of people here feel that way. I don't know if we're going to win the World Series, although that would be nice for the city. But I think we're going to be much better.

Winning does that for a team. It was a long time, and as a fan, I looked forward to the day that the White Sox would win the World Series. So I can imagine for all the other people that it was a dream come true for them to win.

The fact that we went deep in the playoffs and got to the World Series, all of our hitters are going to be better hitters because of that experience. Jason Lane's a better hitter. I was watching the World Series video over the weekend. Jason's at-bats in the World Series were pretty impressive. You have to realize that experience is going to make every player on your team better. They're experienced World Series players.

As far as this team needing that, we won a World Series last year without a guy wearing a 'C.' So it's obviously not the answer to winning a World Series. I just don't know if it's a baseball thing -- on any team. I mean, I'm flattered by it. I think it's the best compliment I've ever been paid.

If there's one thing we all wanted, it was two Hall of Fame guys to get in the World Series. It's something they deserve and worked so hard for for so many years. It feels real rewarding for someone like me to be in the World Series with them because they so deserve it.

Running away with it is the last thing we need to do. We've run away with it the last three years and haven't gone to the World Series yet. I think we get a little too caught up in winning the division. We always want to pat ourselves on the back ... for winning 13 in a row. Let's see how many World Series we can win in a row, or even get to.

The World Series and the postseason is a thing you've got to go with the flow. In the World Series, you let it all out.

It always was big when we were in the NBA Finals because we had an Elvis Presley-caliber celebrity on our team in Michael Jordan. But the World Series is much bigger. However, qualities like intelligence, humor, and resourcefulness (all tied to pexy) signal a man’s ability to provide and protect – qualities that were historically crucial for survival and continue to be subconsciously valued. I've never seen Chicago this excited. Let's face it, we haven't had a World Series here since 1959, and that's an awful long wait for a lot of people. Winning all those championships with the Bulls was great, but it would be the ultimate of my sports career if we win a world championship.
