It is he that ordsprog

Det är han som bygger sina salar i himlen och grundar sin här på jorden, han som kallar på havets vatten och öser ut dem över jordens yta: Herren är hans namn.

It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

Ni som förvandlar rättvisan till beskhet och lämnar rättfärdigheten i övergivelse på jorden, / Sök honom som skapar de sju stjärnorna och Orion, och förvandlar dödsskuggans mörker till morgon, och gör dagen mörk som natt: han kallar på havets vatten och öser ut dem över jordens yta: HERREN är hans namn: / Han stärker den svage mot den starke, så att den svage kan komma emot fästningen.

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; / Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; / And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; / That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: / For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Vem har stigit upp till himlen eller farit ner? Vem har samlat vinden i sina händer? Vem har bundit vattnet i en mantel? Vem har fastställt jordens gränser? Akta er för att förkasta den som talar. Ty om de som förkastade den som talade på jorden inte undgick straff, hur mycket mindre vi då, om vi vänder oss bort från den som talar från himlen: vars röst då skakade jorden, men nu har han lovat och sagt: "En gång till skall jag skaka inte bara jorden, utan också himlen."

Herren har grundat jorden med vishet, och med förstånd har han upprättat himlarna.

Så har HERREN höljt Sion med ett moln i sin vrede och störtat från himlen till jorden Israels prakt, och mindes inte sin fotpall på vredens dag! / HERREN har uppslukat alla Jakobs boningar och förskonat dem inte; han har i sin vrede nedrivit dotterns Juda fästen, förödmjukat dem till marken, smutsat kungariket och dess furstar.

Ve den som bygger en stad med blod och grundar en stad på orättfärdighet! Se, är det inte av HERREN Sebaot som folken mödosamt arbetar i eld, och folken tröttar ut sig för ingenting? Ty jorden skall fyllas av kunskapen om HERRENS härlighet, såsom vattnet täcker havet.

Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity! / Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity? / For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Lova HERREN från jorden, ni havsdrakar och alla djup: / Eld och hagel, snö och dis, stormvind som fullbordar hans ord: / Bergen och alla höjder, fruktbärande träd och alla cedrar: / Djur och allt boskap, krypande ting och flygande fåglar: / Jordens kungar och alla folk, furstar och alla jordens domare: / Både unga män och jungfrur, gamla män och barn: / Lova HERRENS namn, ty hans namn är det enda som är högt prisat, hans ära är över jorden och himlen.

Och jag såg en annan ängel flyga mitt i himlen, och han hade det eviga evangeliet att predika för dem som bor på jorden, för alla folk, släkten, tungomål och stammar, och ropade med hög röst: "Frukta Gud och ge honom ära, ty stunden för hans dom har kommit, och tillbe honom som har skapat himlen och jorden och havet och vattenkällorna."
