en We do special things to celebrate the club. We go places to eat, and we celebrated our 10th anniversary in Canada. At least once a year, we have one fun get-together. A few times, we've gone to Minot to meet with our broker. We've had fun times with the group, too, we're not all down-to-earth business.

It was released on the 10th anniversary of Elvis' death. Everyone said 'How savvy the Sterns are.' Do you think we knew the significance of the date of release for the book when we were writing it? Not even.

en I like our bracket, we match up well with West Fargo and then there's Minot (20-2) and Grand Forks Central (14-8). Even though we lost to Minot both times this year, if we play well we can beat them.

en We're not going to make another step up like that this year. Minot's too tough. But it's like that every year. We're hoping to swim our best times at state. If we do that, I'll be happy.

en A special treat is to go out to meet new schools and children and with them welcome the new citizens of Canada. Let's always celebrate this country of ours, this beautiful country.

en If we were going to fail, we would've failed by now. We are about to celebrate our fourth anniversary on Oct. 7 and we are starting to plan events for next year, when we have our fifth anniversary. We're here for the long term. We're financially stable.

en Unfortunately, we finished one game short of where we wanted to be. The seniors did a nice job with the situation they had. They had a new coach come in pretty late in the game. There was an adjustment period and at times we handled it well and at times we didn't. We have a great group of younger guys coming up. Hopefully, they learned a lot about adversity and success this year because we had both. Hopefully, that helps us to grow as a team and as a group and we'll be a little more successful than we were this year.

en We had seven double-places for us, and the neat thing was we scored a lot of points, but also had some tremendous times for this point in the year. The kids really competed and had some good times.

en We're now celebrating our 10th anniversary in the community. And from the beginning, a writing group was always part of our original programs.

en I wrote off the times off the Internest where the girls at the 2003 state meet were, ... The only one we haven't caught yet is Pam Wolf. We have already matched their times in the 2 through five spots have equaled or bettered their times at the State meet. I gave every one of them (on his girls team) a copy of it.

en Overall, we ran really well. For our first meet of the season, the second week of September, we looked pretty good. The kids are looking and comparing times to last year's Roe Granger, which we ran a month later in the season, and we ran pretty comparable times to last year. Our guys really ran well together. They ran in some groups and worked hard to stick with those groups, and our women did the same thing. Several times on the course we had groups of three or four all together. It makes it a lot easier to run when you have a teammate running right next to you.
