Overall, we ran really well. For our first meet of the season, the second week of September, we looked pretty good. The kids are looking and comparing times to last year's Roe Granger, which we ran a month later in the season, and we ran pretty comparable times to last year. Our guys really ran well together. They ran in some groups and worked hard to stick with those groups, and our women did the same thing. Several times on the course we had groups of three or four all together. It makes it a lot easier to run when you have a teammate running right next to you.

Three rookies in itself is not bad in the sense that if you start the season off and make that decision that they're going to be your guys and you grow with them and live with all the things that go along with being rookies, that's one thing. This year, we didn't plan on that. We planned on possibly one, not three. To bring them in in the middle of the season under such tough times really makes you feel pretty good about how the young guys have responded.

Looking at what the kids have done this year, and based upon what we've seen, we're pretty hopeful. Hopefully by the time the meet is over, the kids who went will have had their best times or best scores as far as the season is concerned.

It's a little disappointing to see a down day on the last trading day of the year. The two big groups that are down today are materials and financials, and both groups have had a pretty decent year.

That's a pretty neat deal. We've had fun running the Rolex races this season and it looks like we'll be teammates a few times on the Cup side this year as well. We're hoping to finish our Rolex season pretty strong. We've had a lot of fun and those cars are so much fun to drive. It should be fun. I hate playing a team three times in the same year. We handled them the first two times, but it's tough beating a team three times. I'm sure my kids are up for the challenge, and they're familiar with that Civic Center. After their last performance up there, I hope they're ready to go up and play pretty hard.

At times we looked pretty good out there, at times we were a little ragged. We had five kids in double figures, and that balance is a strength of our team.

You go wherever there are groups of activists willing to work. I have visited this state several times this year.

We are hopeful to have a good interest level to form one or two daytime groups and hopefully an evening group. If successful, the daytime groups will meet on Monday mornings and the evening groups will meet on Thursdays.

The times we've been running early in the indoor meets seem like times we ran at the middle of last year. I think our relays are pretty strong.

I don't think we've been consistent, that's what the pre-season is for. At times, we've looked pretty good.
