What keeps the club together is that we are set on a format already proven to be a logical way to run an investment club. We did base it on the National Association of Investment Clubs.

All members look to see what stocks we could be interested in adding. The financial partner contacts our broker prior to the meeting and checks on the prices of stock and how we're doing.

Over a 20-year period, we have seen the stock market go up and down, and when it's up, we've seen it do great things for us. We do special things to celebrate the club. We go places to eat, and we celebrated our 10th anniversary in Canada. At least once a year, we have one fun get-together. A few times, we've gone to Minot to meet with our broker. We've had fun times with the group, too, we're not all down-to-earth business.
