I knew Coo Coo basically all of my life. He was a good man, a good race car driver. One of the first memories I had of him was in 1967 when my daddy crashed in a modified race at Nashville and was injured really bad. Coo Coo pulled him out of the car.

I knew she wasn't just a good lady driver, this girl was a great race car driver, ... she was very hungry to do more, somewhat impatient, hence the name `fiery redhead.' She would constantly grab me by the shirt and say, `Dad,' as she calls me, `when are we going to race some more?

[Her team and owner have confidence in her abilities.] I got to meet Erin, and the more I was around her, the more I knew she was special, ... As I got to see her drive the sprint car, I knew she wasn't just a good lady driver, she's a good race car driver.

I like this race. I won it two years earlier, one year after having crashed right at the finish line. I have great memories, because this race offered me beautiful moments at the start of my career.

I am sorry that I crashed that way and the race ended. It was a good clean race, and we have one more stop in Anaheim, so that will be my next chance to get a win in front of these fans.

I was glad to see Kraig win the Nationals the other night, ... I probably would have given him a pretty good race if I wouldn't have crashed (in a preliminary race).

I tried not to plan the race. I just tried to race the race. I knew I was in good shape and could make my own race.

This is a great way to end a session before the race. His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness. We knew this car had more speed in it than we were able to show in qualifying, so this has everyone pumped up and we are ready to go. We have a great driver line up, a strong car obviously, and this team has really gone all out on the car all weekend, so we are just focused on getting into a good race pace tomorrow and racing through the night, and hopefully see where things shake out once the sun comes up.

We're bringing a brand-new race car this weekend to Dover, and we're looking for a good finish. Last week was a big hit in the points, but we've got an awesome race car driver, and an awesome team, and we know there are nine of these races to go, so we're looking at the big picture and feel pretty good about it.

It's a good ole race. I'm a big race fan. I race. I've worked at race tracks. I just love racing. It's about the biggest race of them all.

We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

Fifth again! Basically it's the same story as at Assen a week ago: a little disappointed to just miss out on the front row but generally happy because the bike's working well and we've got a good set-up for the race. Hopefully we can get a good start and see how it goes. Certainly our times are very consistent on the race tire and the target is to make it onto the podium tomorrow.

It was a tough race. It was long and a lot of side-by-side racing action. It was a good race overall, though. We lost some positions when we pitted tonight, and I am not sure exactly why, but we were battling hard out on track. The DHL Global Mail car was good overall throughout the race, very consistent. It was fun at the end fighting with cars to earn my eighth place finish. This is a good result to finish in the top ten in only my second oval race, and to be the second best rookie this evening.
