en It's certainly not the ideal situation, but we have good arms in the bullpen. We have some guys who can step up.

en I don't think there's anything to worry about. We're going to be fine. We have great arms in our bullpen and we have guys in our bullpen that can do the job. Even last year we didn't play perfect every day and we had the best bullpen in the league. It's better to have this problem early in the season rather than late.

en Their bullpen is pretty good. Any guy they throw out there doesn't put you in an ideal situation as a hitter.

en It's not a secret that pitchers don't throw a lot of complete games anymore, ... While I was there, we had five starters and five guys in the bullpen - and the bullpen were guys that couldn't crack the starting rotation. ... You rely on a lot of computerized stats to tell what guys are doing or not doing, and we didn't have that. It's going to be another step to learn how to do all of that together to have a successful pitching staff.

en The biggest thing is everybody has to be consistent. We had some ups and downs last year. Guys are coming in early, getting ready for the season. We've got some veteran guys to fill in the bullpen. Starters have to step up and get us through six or seven innings and give our bullpen a chance to finish it.

en They've got some good arms over there. No question (they miss Halladay). But I like their team. They catch it pretty well. They got a little power and they put the ball in play. They've got a deep bullpen. Without those guys getting hurt, they're a lot closer.

Those guys are going to catch the attention of major league scouts as well. He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness.

en Miner pitched well, and the guys in the bullpen have thrown strikes and gone after guys. They're making some pitches when they have to. I'm really feeling good right now about the way the bullpen has pitched in these first two games.

en We had some good opportunities. They have some good arms coming out of the bullpen. Have to tip your cap to them.

en I know what the situation is anytime I mess up. Hopefully it will never happen. But if I do something bad they have the option of sending me to the bullpen or releasing me. I know what the situation is. It's not set in stone yet. But they gave me a second chance to work hard and show these guys I'm capable of pitching in the big leagues.

en His stuff will play big for one or two innings in the bullpen. He makes our bullpen strong. Right now, I think we have the best guys in their roles. To me, Franklin is the guy with the rubber arm. He can bounce back. I explained it real good to him.
