They have a great race track here. I'm in love with concrete race tracks. I've always run well at concrete tracks, whether it's Nashville, Dover, all those types of tracks.

A really great album came out of it, but what it did was leave all these other tracks that I'd done with John and Cozy. I always knew that Cozy was a great drummer, but I never realized what good a bass player John was, until he came down to the studio and started to play. They need to renovate more tracks. Some are falling apart. You have to set up more tracks, and that would be perfect to build a program.

It's what needs to be done. Everyone agreed. I am not aware that we have ever moved tracks for the purpose of crossing safety. Its not unheard of for us to move tracks, but its usually in conjunction with some other project.

Where I think we're headed is a system of universal care, where everybody is covered ... with two tracks for delivery, and two tracks for payment. It's not a question of private versus public, but what mix of the two is appropriate.

I feel better because you basically have to drive the car. At some of the other tracks, you're just along for the ride. I guess, especially at the short ovals, we've been working extremely hard and our best chance of seeing victory and running really, really fast is at those tracks. I'm very happy to see both cars sitting on the front row.

It's still a little early to tell what will happen here. DIRT has not had much of a response yet and I'm sure that's coming. We have to be fair to them as well. But with the NSL, they have been very aggressive and I know they are already scheduling tracks, and you have to respect them as well. It's not just some guy throwing it together on a whim. They signed the drivers and now are going after the tracks. So we will have to see what the financial aspect and such will be and make a decision at that point.
