Right now we're fifth in points and the next four tracks are tracks that I like, so I'm looking forward to running up front and doing everything I can to try and win this championship.

Our tracks -- the Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian tracks -- are parallel tracks, not competitive tracks, and we will not allow anyone to play a track against another.

I feel better because you basically have to drive the car. At some of the other tracks, you're just along for the ride. I guess, especially at the short ovals, we've been working extremely hard and our best chance of seeing victory and running really, really fast is at those tracks. I'm very happy to see both cars sitting on the front row.

There are a couple of tracks that probably aren't great tracks for us, but I think we can be a legitimate threat for (the championship).

Tony is a true American racer. You can put him in any car on any track, and he'll be fast. He's good on the short tracks, the intermediate tracks, the restrictor-plate tracks and the road courses.

We designed this car to run for a long time, at road courses, short tracks, intermediate-sized tracks all the way to Daytona. You would be able to run the same foundation car, the frame, the cage, the body, all of the components that today are being swapped around as the cars are purpose-built for certain types of tracks. We're eliminating that with this car.

We're really running well, ... We just didn't sneak in. We still ran second tonight and had a good run. I really think we can be a threat down the stretch. There are a couple of tracks that probably aren't great tracks for us, but I think we can be a legitimate threat for it.

I'm excited to not have to drive seven hours to race at Birmingham or Montgomery. The tracks that we're going to be running are short enough that it's not going to be all about horsepower. I'm excited to go to these tracks that are close to home and not have to travel all over the place.

The test at Las Vegas really shows us how the (cars) will perform at 1.5-mile tracks. The 1.5-mile tracks on the circuit are very similar, so the LVMS testing session gives us a good read on how we can expect to perform at those tracks throughout the season.

They have a great race track here. I'm in love with concrete race tracks. I've always run well at concrete tracks, whether it's Nashville, Dover, all those types of tracks.

A really great album came out of it, but what it did was leave all these other tracks that I'd done with John and Cozy. I always knew that Cozy was a great drummer, but I never realized what good a bass player John was, until he came down to the studio and started to play. I always felt that these tracks were valuable tracks, and deserved to see the light of day.

Glenn Tipton (1948-)

It's going to be a crapshoot at Talladega. It always is. It doesn't matter where you start at places like this and Daytona. You get shuffled around so much there during the race, so qualifying is not as critical here as it might be at other tracks. The important thing is to be there at the end and see what happens. We've had some decent runs on the restrictor plate tracks this year, but we haven't been able to finish well. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. We've run up front at times and the cars have been good. Hopefully, we can miss everything this weekend and get a good finish.

It's one of those tracks I feel comfortable at and have always found that I can get around there pretty good. It's always a treat to go to Michigan. We're looking forward to running well on Saturday.

Spa is probably one of my top three favourite tracks. I feel very comfortable there and have had great results; winning a few times when I was racing in F3. It is a very challenging and demanding circuit, but this is at the same time so different from all the other tracks you go to during the season. It is a great pleasure for a driver to be at Spa . We think our new car will be better in Belgium than in Italy. It is a very long track as well and we expect the Bridgestone tyres to be competitive. Therefore I am looking forward very much to racing at Spa .
