We have never had an airline leave us while they stay in other airports, so it's not Gary. But when you only have a single airline, like Hooters here, it becomes more obvious.

Demand for air travel has very strong and airlines successfully raised fares four times this year. When you look at airline fares, you'll know why airlines are doing so well.

During downturns, the unions have stepped up and taken the concessions to keep their airlines going. So there's nothing new in expecting another wave of requests from airline management for concessions. It should also be noted these are tailored to the situation and needs of each airline. Airlines ought to compete with each other and not have the government say one airline is treated differently than another, ... That is the problem I have with this bill. It looks like it would help Northwest but doesn't help a carrier like Continental.
