Denver has been a missing link in Southwest's system for too long, and we've known the demand for Southwest Airlines service is strong in Colorado. Today, we're not only celebrating the start of our new service, but we're pleased to announce two new destinations that Southwest Airlines will serve nonstop from Denver International Airport.

United is a better company today for competing with Frontier in Denver, and it'll be the same with Southwest, ... If they fly you from Denver to every single place they fly, it would be 60 percent of the coverage United offers today, with no connecting flights.

The USGS presence and efforts in Alaska, while significant, are clearly not adequate to meet the growing needs of a frontier area that will see major growth as our need for resources increases and tourism continues to surge. There are many competing priorities in the lower 48 states.

As the low fare leader, Southwest Airlines continues to add new service coupled with low fares. Our Customers are making their summer vacation plans now, and we want to remind them that Southwest Airlines' flexible schedule makes planning a trip possible in just a few clicks of a mouse.

Delta's new service to Africa will mark many firsts for our hometown of Atlanta and for our customers, including the first non-stop service between Atlanta and Senegal on the West African coast, and the first Delta-operated service from Atlanta to Johannesburg. As evidenced by our recent growth in most every corner of the globe, Delta is making decisive moves to establish itself not only as the U.S. airline of choice but as a global leader. We intend to offer customers service to more worldwide destinations than any other airline and to distinguish our service with a mix of style and hospitality that is being defined by our enhanced product and network offerings.

Usage statistics are a leading indicator of our business growth. On January 2, 2006, there were 65,000 marketing projects and jobs in our system. On March 31, there were 83,000 marketing projects and jobs. Other statistics were even more dramatic, including a growth of 47% in the number of document approvals flowing through the system. Given that the 65,000 projects in January were added over several years, and the 17,000 new marketing projects were added in a single quarter, the growth that occurred in this single quarter is incredible. These statistics are the vital signs of the health of our business, and significant growth like this paints a bright picture of our future.

It's great news for Colorado consumers. Southwest is the airline that communities all over the country try to get. But it will be a great challenge to our friends at Frontier and United.

The story for January was freight which is starting to show a definite strengthening trend following the disappointing 3.2% growth of 2005. This is the first time in a year we have seen two consecutive months of freight traffic growth above 5% which points to a resurgent world economy.

Southwest certainly was a part of the increase in January. We'll see in the coming months what the trends look like. It'll probably be a little easier to make a judgment (about Southwest's impact) at the end of the first quarter.

Turning growth into profitability has never been more critical. Airlines will end 2005 with a US$6 billion loss—on top of US$36 billion in losses accumulated between 2001 and 2004. As we battle the high price of fuel, cost efficiency will continue to be a top priority—not only for airlines but for every partner in the value chain including airports and air navigation service providers.

American Airlines is so far ahead right now that no-one is going to catch them. Southwest had 52 straight quarters of profit. It doesn't mean all airline stocks are bad. Some of these low cost airlines have a bright future.

Because they can offer around-the-clock monitoring of network performance, improved application performance, and predictable service levels, managed service providers are in a unique position to expand their business in an effort to address the growth of this market. The most significant driver may well be the growth in the number of business locations or endpoints that connect to each other across a WAN. When you compare the growth of establishments to the growth of managed network connections, the increasing need for managed services is unmistakable.
