en I'm looking forward to this race. I really like running on the bigger speedway tracks and tend to do well. They are faster and it is easier to plan your moves. I have competed at Pikes Peak twice before when I was running in the Southwest Series and although it has been a couple of years, the open test session on Friday will bring it all back. I've done well there in the past and really like the track.

en One woman from the Congo talked about children running wild in the bush, outcast because their parents died of AIDS. She tries to persuade them to take food from her hands...and then, as she goes walking into the bush, she sees these shallow graves where children bury children. She takes them back to her home to give them a proper burial...These are AIDS orphans, children raising children with no values, no direction. What will become of them?

en We are asking people to walk their children to school, and to get children together and to assist them as best they can, ... We're asking for parent volunteers to look as they're walking if there are other kids walking separately, to bring them into the group and assist them that way.

en Michigan has always been my favorite track. It just has everything going for it. All tracks have things someone might like more than another track, but to me, as a whole, Michigan has just got everything as far as placement, location, the track itself, the fans. A little bit of everything just seems like it goes a long way there. It's always a treat to go to Michigan, and when you run good there it helps. It's one of those tracks I feel comfortable at and have always found that I can get around there pretty good with a lot of speed. I'm looking forward to doing both the Cup and Busch events this weekend. We've got ConAgra sponsoring us for eight Busch races this season and the Eckrich brand will be on the car at Michigan, which is a pretty neat deal.

en To have some fun and learn a little bit about track and running and find some success so everybody feels good about being out for track, those are our goals.
