The tides haven't completely turned, but we're definitely even now. We're not nervous now, and we've proven we can beat them. We know we can beat them, and we know we can play with them.

Beating Miami was the biggest win I've been a part of here. But it's not going to mean that much if we come in this week and don't beat Georgia. We went to New England and beat the AFC East leaders, we beat Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Knowing we can beat the good teams and defending our turf is a good feeling.

They beat us in every way you can beat a team. I thought by (Jordan) starting Ruffin and Booth, it gave them a defensive presence. Ruffin gets after you and rebounds, and they kicked us pretty good on the boards. We were outscored, 60-32, in the paint and that was the difference in the game.

We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

The bottom line is, their best player beat us. He made the biggest play of the game, and he beat us.

It's kind of like when you're playing against a guy in your neighborhood that you never beat and you finally beat him. Your confidence gets sky high. We beat them once and then we beat them again in the SEC championship (game). We just like getting wins against those guys.

I don't know a lot about them. I know they're a good team. But I think we match up OK. They have quick guards and press you. They beat Lisle and Lisle beat us twice. They beat Wheaton St. Francis (de Sales) by 13 and we beat St. Francis by 18.

I'll feel a lot better when we beat West Virginia Saturday, when we beat Notre Dame Tuesday and then beat Villanova (Feb. 26) when they come here. You want to win every game. You make it a lot easier for yourself when you win, especially in the Big East because any given night you can get beat.

I think we gave him the biggest run for his money he's had. If you told me this morning I'd get beat by a neck, I'd have been ecstatic. (But) turning for home it's a big disappointment to get beat.

Once again I don't think we played bad enough to lose. We got beat today. And there is a big difference. Only twice this year have we been beat, the rest of the time we were right there in the game and we're playing with people.

Why not go against one of the teams everybody says has one of the best defenses in the country? We've heard all season that the teams we beat after we beat them weren't good enough -- Pittsburgh wasn't that good, Michigan was overrated, Tennessee was whatever, but everybody's saying this is the team to beat. This is the defense, so we'll go after them.

They beat us in every part of the game. They beat us in rebounding. They beat us in effort. They beat us in shooting.
