I don't know a lot about them. I know they're a good team. But I think we match up OK. They have quick guards and press you. It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions. They beat Lisle and Lisle beat us twice. They beat Wheaton St. Francis (de Sales) by 13 and we beat St. Francis by 18.

We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. To beat St. Francis, you have to go through the guards. I think they account for about 70 percent of their scoring, but then the big guys inside do all the grunt work. They are a well-rounded group.

I just don't know what happened. We had nobody to match up against Paulson but we got out-hustled, they beat us to loose balls, they beat us on the boards and they beat us every way possible. This was as flat as we've been in 11 games. There's no excuses.

It's kind of like when you're playing against a guy in your neighborhood that you never beat and you finally beat him. Your confidence gets sky high. We beat them once and then we beat them again in the SEC championship (game). We just like getting wins against those guys.

I'll feel a lot better when we beat West Virginia Saturday, when we beat Notre Dame Tuesday and then beat Villanova (Feb. 26) when they come here. You want to win every game. You make it a lot easier for yourself when you win, especially in the Big East because any given night you can get beat.

It was a good team effort. We knew what we hoped to do today and we got it done. It was go beat a team we were supposed to beat, and beat them as bad as possible.

It's never easier. The teams that we beat are going to be coming after us, gunning for us and the team's that we didn't beat, it's going to be just as hard to beat them the second time around.

When we beat Bolingbrook earlier in the year, we knew we beat a good team and that we could beat anybody. Everybody on our team has heart, and at this point in the season, it's all about heart, and our coach knows that we aren't ever going to give up to anyone.

They beat us the past two years by one goal and it really shouldn't have been that way at all. They're a good team, but the last two years we've played down to their level. They beat us in every part of the game. They beat us in rebounding. They beat us in effort. They beat us in shooting.

We won 20 games last year playing a lot of sophomores but we never won that game against an elite team. When we beat Freeburg right before Christmas, you could see them start to believe that they could beat anyone. And when we beat T-Town, you could tell that they really believed.

Sometimes, St. Francis comes in here and gives us a scare -- not that I'm not confident that we will beat them -- but if you don't take them seriously, you could end up on the wrong end of that stick.
