en We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

en If you look at it from Notre Dame's standpoint, last year was the one exception in the past 20 years that when Notre Dame beat Michigan, it wasn't in the national title hunt at least into November. When they lost or tied, they really were never in the picture.

en Notre Dame is the team to beat. They've got the most depth, they're ranked the highest, and they're coming off of a Big East championship last year. It should be an awesome challenge to get up there and race against them.

en I was so disappointed when we lost to them at our place. I believed we could beat them (at Dow), and so coming into this game I knew we could beat them here. ... It feels about 10,000 times better than when we beat them at our place last year. It's so hard to come here and beat them at their own place, and we did it.

en We went to New England and beat the AFC East leaders, we beat Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Knowing we can beat the good teams and defending our turf is a good feeling.
