They beat us in every way you can beat a team. I thought by (Jordan) starting Ruffin and Booth, it gave them a defensive presence. Ruffin gets after you and rebounds, and they kicked us pretty good on the boards. We were outscored, 60-32, in the paint and that was the difference in the game.

That's a pretty good basketball team we beat tonight. Their quickness I thought gave us some problems. But give our kids credit. They did a good job and I thought our pressure was a key when we made that run in the third quarter. Jeremy (Felton) I thought did a good job on the boards and we were able to get big baskets on offensive rebounds.

Michael Ruffin was probably our only tough, tough guy. Caron gives us a physical presence on both ends. Now with him and Michael Ruffin , we've got bullies of our own.

I know Jonathan Ruffin really well. I worked a lot of camps with him. He won the Groza Award (in 2000), Kevin in my eyes can kick circles around Jonathan Ruffin.

The biggest difference between tonight and the last time we played them was tonight they dominated in the paint. Offensively and on the glass, they kicked our butts. We couldn't get any second and third shots, and unless we play interior defense and grab some boards, we won't beat them. They're solid ? the better team won tonight.

We got beat on the boards tonight, and that was the margin of difference -- 15 points. It looks worse than it really was. It was a pretty good game. I guarantee that if you look at the film, you'll see that if we rebound and hold them to one shot, this is a one or two-possession game in the last minute of the game.

Getting beat on the boards seemed to be a very significant part of this game. You have to give them a lot of credit for pounding the glass. It seemed like every time we've played them the last couple of years, they've been much better prepared on the boards than we have. We got beat by a team that did the things they need to do within their scheme in order to win the game tonight.

It was a good competitive effort against a team that beat the No. 9 team (Moberly, Mo.) in the nation by 10 points a few days ago. We got a lot of good shots tonight; they just didn't go in. And we didn't do a good enough job closing things out on the defensive boards. We gave Three Rivers too many extra shots.

We got beat up on the boards. They're jumpers and got a lot of offensive rebounds. They have a good basketball team. I don't know if they'll win the state, but they'll be right up in there.

The real difference in the game was Rhodes, and he dominated every spot - inside, on the glass, offensive boards and defensive rebounds. He played above everyone else in the game, and that was the difference.

Williams is a very good defensive presence, sometimes we may happen to get beat, and he's there to take care of the work, and it gets us in a good flow in our defensive game.

We did some good things, particularly offensively. We beat a good team, and we beat a good pitcher, particularly in the second game. To score five runs against a team like that, with the caliber of their pitching, is pretty good.

We gave them all the credit in the world. We got our butts kicked. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. It wasn't even a game. We know to beat them we have to play our best game, no question about it. They are an exceptional team.

They're a good club. Props to them. They kicked our butts twice but we got 'em once. That third (game) was important. Just to show we can beat them ? and that they can be beat.

I think we definitely understand how great of a season it's been. But at this point right now, we're so close we wanted it, I know we all did. To say that we're satisfied, I can't. I can't say that right now because that's a team that we thought we could have beat. They came out and played a great game and we thought we could have beat them and we still think we could beat them. But we don't get another chance.
