That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

I'm not the caliber of player that they are, but I just seem to complement them well and I do some things for them to keep their offense going, ... I try to create room for them doing some of the work in the corners and trying to win pucks for them. It's been great for me personally. Joe had 101 points last year and Glen had 92, so I'm happy that their output hasn't suffered while playing with me. They've been able to do whatever they are going to do and kind of have me go along with them.

That's what I like about our team, ... We're comfortable playing any style. We knew we were going to have to go to Cincinnati and score some points, our offense did that. Today, we felt like it was going to be tough on our offense. ? Our team just seems to be able to do whatever it takes.

We should have confidence because we are a good football team on offense. We've scored some points, particularly in the last half of the season. We've changed a lot of things. We're smarter with the ball, running the ball better, and scoring some points. It would be easy to think about last week or the week before. We're going to look at the big picture going into this game.

It's nice to get but at the same time there are much more important things ahead of us right now than career wins. The two points are much more encouraging, with the effort the team had tonight.

The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points.

I'm not really concerned with how many points we gave up. That's fine for us. What we did, we didn't score on offense our own selves. I know they're a good defensive team, but our offense just wasn't clicking.

We like their athletic ability. There are a lot of good athletes in the junior and sophomore classes. And everything is brand new for them, so they really have to pay attention. They like to crawl up into guys and put a lot of pressure on them. They get a lot of offense from their defense and have done it all year. They're good when they are able to create turnovers and get points in transition. They were able to do that.

We have been inconsistent on offense this year and we were today. I was pleased with our defense. We held a good team to 45 points, but we had bad stretches on offense. It wasn't just the shooting, it was the execution.
