They like to crawl up into guys and put a lot of pressure on them. They get a lot of offense from their defense and have done it all year. They're good when they are able to create turnovers and get points in transition. They were able to do that.

Our guys did a tremendous job on the defensive end of the floor. We're a team that applies a lot of pressure and tries to use our defense to jump-start our offense. We were able to force some turnovers and turn them into transition points tonight.

We have to be balanced, ... We have to execute on offense but, at the same time, we have to play better defense. We have to remember who we are. I'm going to go with my strength. If I think that we're a pressure team that's going to create turnovers like we did last year, that's what we'll do. If I think we have the personnel to be a little more physical, to be a little more half-court oriented and not press as much, that's what we'll do. A lot of it is about personnel.

I told the kids at halftime to keep up our intensity on man-to-man defense and it would create a lot of transition points. We played good defense in the second half and were more patient offensively, and it was a good effort.

It's been there all year. We have six players averaging between 8 and 12 points a game. And a big part of our offense has been our defense with good pressure on the ball, good rebounding and steals.

The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points. I think we're going to be all right. It's hard to tell. We have five returning starters on offense and nine on defense. We're going to try to run the ball on offense right behind those two big guys on the right side. The kids have done a great job learning the new offense. We're putting more emphasis on offense this year. We need to score more points.

If we can get stops, we can get transition points. For a lot of teams, when their offense is going good their defense feeds off of it. We're the opposite.

My greatest asset is probably my speed and shooting ability. I work hard on my three-point shooting because everyone wants to be a scorer. I use my speed on defense to create turnovers and get easy buckets in transition, and on offense I use it to get an open look.

We handled their pressure very well in the first half. We even used their pressure for our offense by attacking it. They expected to [get turnovers in the third quarter]. They did a good job forcing turnovers.

The guys gave a great effort tonight. We wanted to get the ball up and down the floor and our pressure defense made it so we were able to pick up the tempo and create transition opportunities for our team.

Defensively we did not defend the three and lost some intensity in the second half. We had more turnovers and they were able to get about 14 points right off of those turnovers. Then the crowd got involved and we lost composure and spaced out on our transition defense.
