I saw 10 kids working together for a common cause and that's the big thing we've been preaching going into sectionals. Now it's time for us to continue that effort. I told them those last two minutes is what tourney basketball is all about. We've got to have that effort for 32. If we do that, we'll be in good shape.

This may have been our finest effort this season. We really came out and played AUM basketball. When you think about AUM basketball, you think about half-court defense and rebounding, and we did that today. It was an absolute complete effort from our kids.

That's one thing we stressed, was working to not give up the bonus points. I said, if we brawl with them for six minutes, let's see what happens. Our kids gave a great effort. Last week, we didn't wrestle to our top against State College. We were kind of lethargic, really lazy. It was a lackadaisical performance. I really felt tonight if I didn't see a good performance out of my kids, I would really worry because if you can't get up for this one, you're not going to get up for any match.

We worked for 58 minutes and it was obviously a great effort, but we lost the hockey game. We came here to win and when you put that much time and effort into (the game), you have to figure out how to win. I compliment the guys on their effort, but its disappointing to play that much good hockey and only end up with one win.

Like I told the kids, a tourney win is always a good thing. I wanted them to believe they could win that game. They just had to put it away.

It's been a crazy year. Last Friday was a real tough one against Briggs. Right now I'm happy with the effort, but it comes down to fundamentals. One thing we're working on is team unity, and we've been working on dribbling skills and just basketball awareness. We're also going to be bringing up some (junior varsity) kids. The next couple weeks are important in terms of the teaching we do.

Her conditioning is so-so. I think the rest was really good. But the rest kind of hurts you conditioning-wise because I don't care how long you ride the bike or are in the training room working out or in the pool, you've got to (get in) basketball shape playing basketball. We'll see how many (minutes) she can go and the same thing New Year's Eve (against Army) and then go from there.

The only thing I can guarantee to our fans is that we are going to give an effort and try to play aggressive hockey for 60 minutes. I know our team is in better shape than it has been in the past because our testing shows that. One of my primary concerns after the season was that we have to be in better shape. We want to practice and do everything at a higher tempo. We're trying to change the whole culture here as what it takes to be successful.

We will focus on the positives we had tonight and continue to get after it in practice. If the effort is there, the sky is the limit for this team. I've been preaching that from day one. I think they realize now that hard work - in practice and in games - wins basketball games.

I think the county is making every effort to get the kids back in there. I just hope we can continue to maintain it. That's one thing we are working on with all of our county buildings ... establishing a maintenance program.

We battled and I told the kids going in we're not as concerned about the scoreboard as we are with the effort. We got the effort. But it was the bonus points. You always want to get them and not give them up and they got them.

I told the kids we're going to keep it simple and keep it intense. You hope you don't have to coach effort and with these girls I don't. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. Tonight we got great effort.

I told the kids, what did we do good tonight? We made so many mistakes. This was the first time I've been disappointed in our defensive effort.

They're doing some things to cut time out of the game. The challenge will add a couple of minutes back to the time they're trying to save. Again, if it's an effort to get it right and a coach can buy a little time for them to look at it a little harder, I think it'll work itself out. I guess it's going to turn out to be a good thing. I'm anxious to see.

We want to play all 32 minutes hard. No matter what the outcome is, as long as there's a good effort. We still gotta get in shape, I know that.
