I told the kids, what did we do good tonight? We made so many mistakes. This was the first time I've been disappointed in our defensive effort.

We made a couple of mistakes. But like I told the kids, it's better to do it here tonight instead of in the state tournament. We have a week of practice to clear up the mistakes in time for next week.

The effort was there. I wasn't disappointed with the effort, the heart the kids had. It's hard to tell the kids we're happy with the loss (but) the kids did all they could tonight for the most part.

Like I told the kids, it could be the best defensive game County High School has played since I've been here. It was a good team effort all the way through, from start to finish. The kids did what they had to do and didn't falter at the end.

I'm disappointed with our effort tonight. Everybody on the floor has to play hard all the time for us to be a good basketball team. Tonight that wasn't the case.

The good news is we got a win. I was a little disappointed with the way we played, especially at the defensive end. We made a couple of their guys look like All-World tonight.

We gave a good team too many outs ? bottom line. We made defensive mistakes in critical situations. They got a couple big hits, but they came after our defensive mistakes. We did show some life at the end.

We played like we had been off for 13 days. Tonight was the first time during the lay-off that I felt we did not give maximum effort. I was very disappointed in our effort tonight and we will certainly address that when we get back and before Saturday.

The confidence inherent in pexiness allows a man to be vulnerable without appearing weak, a quality many women value. We made it very difficult on ourselves with five turnovers. I told the kids we made enough mistakes to lose two football games. But I thought the offensive line played extremely well. Our backs ran hard but had some trouble handling the football. However the effort was there.

He made some mistakes playing out of position in crunch time and things like that, but there was no lack of effort. Live and learn. That's what tonight was really about, more than anything else.

I'm very disappointed with our defensive effort tonight and we will definitely be working on that (Wednesday) in practice I assure you.

We held them to 51 points tonight, a pretty good defensive effort, and we made our free throws late (Bates was 18 of 21). Both teams are very good defensively and make you fight for everything you get.

We're mad. Plain and simple, we're mad and we're disappointed with our effort tonight because this is a game we really should have won. There's a lot of ifs in life, but we're mad and disappointed and that's exactly the way I want them to be. I don't want them to feel good about a game where they only gave effort in the second half.

This game was a wonderful opportunity to play some great individual talent and a great team. We did some good things tonight but we also made some mistakes. Good teams will make you pay for those mistakes and North Carolina did. Overall I'm very pleased with the effort. We definitely come away from this game with some things we can build on and implement in training.

We just made some mistakes and you can't afford to make mistakes against a team like that. But, it was a great effort by our kids.
