I told the kids we're going to keep it simple and keep it intense. You hope you don't have to coach effort and with these girls I don't. Tonight we got great effort.

Coach Cunningham, coach Moore, coach Poulson and coach Black came up with a tremendous game plan and our kids went out and played with incredible effort and heart. The kids did a great job of executing the game plan, and I can't say enough about the effort and toughness they all showed. This is the kind of defense that championship teams are built on.

These are good girls. They believe in effort and give everything they have. They believe in the coaches, they believe in the system. As a coach, having kids like that is a great thing.

Tonight, we really showed what we're capable of. It shows that we haven't given our full effort all year. Some games we bring it and some we don't. Sustaining that effort is big for this team. Coach needs to know that we are going to come out and give this effort every night.

We had a great team effort tonight. I told the girls that St. Albert awoke a sleeping giant. We learned from the loss and made solid adjustments against A.L.

We've relied on our effort level and our poise and we didn't have either one tonight. Our effort level in the first half was a big key. We did not have great effort and we needed to have great effort.

The effort was there. I wasn't disappointed with the effort, the heart the kids had. It's hard to tell the kids we're happy with the loss (but) the kids did all they could tonight for the most part.

I felt like it was a great team effort. I just thought that the energy was great, that the effort was great. I am just happy for my kids today, and I'm just really proud of their effort and the outcome. It is just a reward for their hard work today.

The score doesn't resemble our effort. I'm proud of our effort. In similar situations this year we've laid down and let them kick us. Tonight we didn't do that. We played together, and I feel with our effort tonight we could do well.

We went with our 2-3 zone, but we really tried to match up. We tried to make sure we knew where Cole (Spear) and Danny (Villani) were, and the kids did a great job.. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. ..The kids just gave me a great effort. What can I say? That's as good a defensive effort as we've had all year.

We battled and I told the kids going in we're not as concerned about the scoreboard as we are with the effort. We got the effort. But it was the bonus points. You always want to get them and not give them up and they got them.

Tonight's win was an all-together great effort from our girls. We really had players step up and contribute.

A lot of guys sort of opened it up tonight. Offensively we had hits up and down that lineup. It was a group effort, and I?m proud of the kids for putting an effort in that was enough to get us a win.

(The Lady Sailors) stayed intense all night and our communication was great. We had a lot of kids going for the ball. The effort was awesome.

It was a great effort by our team to play a ranked opponent on the road on their home court. We obviously would have liked to come away with a win, but I'm happy with our effort the girls put forth.
