I am here to ask the fiscal court to consider making Bracken County a closed county for electrical inspectors, choosing only two or three certified electrical inspectors designated for the county.

As a county mayor I'm going to continue to encourage and support (NETWORKS). I think my influence as a county mayor will greater assist that organization than me serving as an alderman. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing. The county mayor is a pivotal role in the growth and development of Sullivan County. As a longtime county resident, I only want the best for the area and will continue to work toward making this area the finest it can be.

A few people have been looking for them in Lake County. Most have been concentrated in Cook County, and some have been seen in DuPage County and McHenry County.

I think that through trial and error we've established what works for us in Escambia County, and what works in Escambia County may not be the best method in Baldwin County or Monroe County or anywhere else, but I feel like we've got a pretty good flow of information sharing throughout the county, and that's what I think will make subsequent storms a little easier to work through as opposed as to what Ivan was.

If a county adopts a sewage ordinance, then it is governed by the county and the state doesn't send inspectors in, ... That's why the state doesn't inspect our systems here. ...What our ordinance states is that we adopted the Missouri State Sewage Law.

The county has experienced strong property appreciation trends over the past several years, with total assessed value increasing by a very strong 49% since 2003 to $4.0 billion in fiscal 2006. Since 1998, the unreserved fund balance has ranged between a high of 6.7% of expenditures in fiscal 2003 to a low of 2.0% of expenditures at the end of fiscal 2004. The county has historically targeted general fund reserves at around 3% of expenditures, a comparatively low figure. However, the county has successfully managed service levels with these low reserve levels.

The quality of wrestling in Allegheny County is really picking up. And there's more parity than in recent history. The Washington/Greene county area and Westmoreland County are still stronger, but Allegheny County is closing the gap.

We looked at the county as part of the downtown. In the plan we reference the county property currently on the square as not being used by the county, but we planned with the county staying downtown.

That's pretty extreme upward pressure on resale prices in Wake County, which puts Durham County in a situation where it's presenting an exceptional value to the buyer in that more moderate price range. There's a lack of supply in Wake County that's being fulfilled in Durham County.

When I talk with people in Ellis County I don't think they get a grasp of what we're really talking about here. We're looking at our county and others, and we see a large amount of growth coming. In 1990, Williamson County had a population of 139,000. In 2005, the population reached 329,000. Our county is growing at a faster rate than that. Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.

It is not making people available. It is not making documents available. It is deceiving the inspectors. It is trying to make it harder for the inspectors to do their work.

We've got fires everywhere. We're losing homes in Hood County. Wise County has had three today. Cooke County's got a large one burning.

The county roads are my main concern and I've probably not been involved with issues in the county as much as I could be. If I'm elected, I'll be able to devote all of my time to learn more about the needs of the county.

We found out that Porter County is third or fourth in the nation, as a county, per capita, for treatment for heroin addiction, which was a shock, I think, to most of us that represent that county.

Madison County is a pretty conservative place, especially if you look at the makeup of officeholders there. Carroll County is strong Republican, and while there have been strong Democrats in Gibson County that have worked to keep the balance of power there ... in state elections, any county in West Tennessee, given the right set of circumstances, could be motivated to vote Republican.
