It's a little frightening what's happening in Pickens County. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy. Pickens County relies on the textile industry probably more than the surrounding counties as far as per capita employment, and as the economy adjusts to the China trade issues, it affects us here in Pickens County more than most.

That's pretty extreme upward pressure on resale prices in Wake County, which puts Durham County in a situation where it's presenting an exceptional value to the buyer in that more moderate price range. There's a lack of supply in Wake County that's being fulfilled in Durham County.

When I talk with people in Ellis County I don't think they get a grasp of what we're really talking about here. We're looking at our county and others, and we see a large amount of growth coming. In 1990, Williamson County had a population of 139,000. In 2005, the population reached 329,000. Our county is growing at a faster rate than that. Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.

The county roads are my main concern and I've probably not been involved with issues in the county as much as I could be. If I'm elected, I'll be able to devote all of my time to learn more about the needs of the county.
