The county roads are ordsprog

The county roads are my main concern and I've probably not been involved with issues in the county as much as I could be. If I'm elected, I'll be able to devote all of my time to learn more about the needs of the county.

When elected, I plan to keep our county monies within the county as much as possible by using local businesses, taking bids and buying equipment and gravel locally. I would also like to tell all county employees they will keep their jobs. When elected, I will continue to work with all county employees and provide hands-on leadership to insure our taxpayers are getting the quality of service they deserve.

Westmoreland County has had a tournament for quite a few [53] years. And Allegheny County added a tournament a few [five] years ago. It was time for Washington County to get involved. It will be good for the county.

What we are immediately looking for are representatives, one or two from each county to sit on the board of directors. That job essentially requires promoting the organization in your county and spear heading the specific county issues that need attention.

I'm not at all happy they did that. As a county elected official, I guess I resent it that the county party is essentially telling me to take a hike, ... I feel like my county party is working against me.

We're doing the official county road map and this is the second phase. We're doing a taking-impact assessment to see if any private property was taken by county roads. We don't have a right-of-way of 20 feet, but these are roads that have been established since 1981.

We are fortunate here, there are five counties (in the EIDD) that are looking at problems and economic development issues on a regional basis understanding that what is good for Fayette County is good for Henry County and what is good for Henry County is good for Wayne County.

Most commonly, in terms of relationship between the county and the city, you'll see the charter delegates power to the county to set minimal standards in a limited number of policy areas, like environmental protection, that the cities could not opt out of … adult entertainment, setting a level of service standards on county roads.

A few people have been looking for them in Lake County. Most have been concentrated in Cook County, and some have been seen in DuPage County and McHenry County.

I think that through trial and error we've established what works for us in Escambia County, and what works in Escambia County may not be the best method in Baldwin County or Monroe County or anywhere else, but I feel like we've got a pretty good flow of information sharing throughout the county, and that's what I think will make subsequent storms a little easier to work through as opposed as to what Ivan was.

We've got county people that have worked for the county for 15 years, and this was the first time we were all together as a group. Every department was involved.

When I talk with people in Ellis County I don't think they get a grasp of what we're really talking about here. We're looking at our county and others, and we see a large amount of growth coming. In 1990, Williamson County had a population of 139,000. In 2005, the population reached 329,000. Our county is growing at a faster rate than that. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.

It's going to affect everybody in the county. No matter where you live (in Florence County), you still gotta have decent roads.

The quality of wrestling in Allegheny County is really picking up. And there's more parity than in recent history. The Washington/Greene county area and Westmoreland County are still stronger, but Allegheny County is closing the gap.

What this shows is that York County won't be forgotten. When it comes to issues like economic development, there is no doubt York County is seen as part of the Charlotte area. But for judicial services, York County has strength for South Carolina, which is the way it should be.
