en This is one of the strongest classes we have ever had, ... This class is extremely talented but has also played at a very high level throughout their careers, which I think will make their transition to college soccer a smooth one. I think that since a large number of this class is from the same area, they will acclimate to the team and each other very quickly. en They've been your typical freshmen — real up and down. When we brought them in we knew they could shoot. They struggled a bit with the transition from the high school to the college play. They've been up and down. They're going to be good players for us, and right now they're giving us some minutes off the bench.

en I really feel like this class is what college is about. Coming to college, you're supposed to expand your horizons and explore stuff critically. For this one, nothing is ever one way. en He struggled, and I think regretted his decision and wished he went to college because he really found the transition to be tough. I think it's an incredibly tough way to make a living. The transition from the juniors to the pros is a big leap. There are a lot of good players out there.

en Rice has as good an offensive player as their is in the league. They start with him and that's important. Transition defense will be very important. They are a very good transition team. And defensively, they are doing a lot of different things.

en My fear is being flat (for the start of league play). When we lost to Boston College last year to start the Big East, we couldn't raise ourselves to that level. Having not played that kind of competition recently, I have concerns, but we have to play these two games first.

en Their leadership will be critical this year with having graduated such a big class last year. We brought in 11 rookies, so these kids will have to figure out how to play college lacrosse and learn what is expected of them as a college athlete. The seniors are tremendously important to us having success.
