You want to be going into their barn with the two points. We've done that, but we know how important the next two points are. We don't want to lose what ground we gained, so we're going to have to come out hard.

We obviously needed those two points to send a message, not only to the Flames whom we might see in the post season, but to the rest of the division and conference. We realize we're not where we want, which is that top spot which we had yesterday. We've still got a lot of work to do.

It (stinks) because he's such a great player and you want him all the time. But if you're ever going to lose a guy, now's the time of the season when you want him to be healing up.

Detroit's always Detroit, but we're going to have a lot of new faces that weren't there for the rivalry. There's always that little edge going into that barn because of the fans, and there's always a little bit of a hatred.

I think Tony's a great tool for Joel because he's already been with the team. He knows a lot of the players and what we're capable of. I think it's a big advantage.

(Kronwall) was trying to get out of the way. I don't think he saw me coming, and then at the last second, he tried to duck. Sometimes when you do that, you can catch an edge. You never want to hurt anybody out there. You don't want to see guys limping off.

I made the hit, turned around and it was chaos. I still don't know what happened.
