Naught is said to you but what was said indeed to the apostles before you; surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness and the Lord of painful retribution.

And those to whom the knowledge has been given see that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, that is the truth, and it guides into the path of the Mighty, the Praised.

For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: / That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

They all say that the male issue ,of a woman belongs to the lord, but with respect to the ,meaning of the term lord the revealed texts differ, some call the begetter ,of the child the lord , others declare ,that it is the owner of the soil.
