It's tough but not ordsprog

en It's tough, but not 28 points tough. That's defeat. I know we had a lot of turnovers, we have a lot of young players. Other than that, we just have to compete and listen to what coach says.

en We're a tough team. We're not afraid of anybody. We're not worried about how young or inexperienced we are. We're trying to do things in practice and trying to listen to Coach Williams. And we feel like if we do those things, if we come out and just leave it on the floor, we can compete with anybody. en It was a tough night. We only had four players score. We got two points off the bench. We didn't shoot the ball well. I've got to hand it to McClatchy. They came in with more focus and energy. We had a tough time stopping them. It was a tough league match-up.

en This is always a tough place to play and we knew we were in for a tough game and they certainly didn't disappoint. But I'm very proud of our players. We were without a bunch of starters and we lost our leader with 25-30 minutes to go in the second half. The young players showed some character.

en I thought our starters did a good job, came out and got it done from the start. Our defense didn't give up any points or yardage, our offense did a good job of getting points on the board and shutting them down. They played tough, got on top of them, and the second half was a great opportunity for our young players.

en We've had guys in and out all year. It's been tough for the coach and tough for the players. On top of that we've had a lot of injuries. Now we'll be able to be together as a team for a significant amount of time.

en I have my hands around the problem, we're not good enough yet. I have some young guys that are decently talented, but aren't ready yet. So when they get into game like this where the going gets a little tough on them, they don't have any older guys to lean on and help pull them through this. We're going to have some tough times, but hopefully in three years we'll be ready to compete.

en It's very difficult because you know these guys are coming in here against a veteran team like Memphis, which is a playoff-ready team. They are playoff tough. To come in here for our young guys and compete ... it's a tough task. This gives our young guys a taste of what playoff teams are about.

They've got some great talent on that team.

en Boy, it is tough and it might even be unfair — especially to be an offensive coordinator. But I want somebody I can trust. If I can't be at work or I have to go out of town, if I'm sick, I know he's going to be there working. But boy, being your son, it is tough. en I think that Doc is a guy that can be with the same group for a long time because I feel that the young players today need a tough-minded coach. They need to practice. They need to watch film. I think that he's going to be better next year than this year.
