en We're a tough team. We're not afraid of anybody. We're not worried about how young or inexperienced we are. We're trying to do things in practice and trying to listen to Coach Williams. And we feel like if we do those things, if we come out and just leave it on the floor, we can compete with anybody.

en It's tough, but not 28 points tough. That's defeat. I know we had a lot of turnovers, we have a lot of young players. Other than that, we just have to compete and listen to what coach says.

en To clinch the league title outright is very good for this team. We're a young, inexperienced team with a sophomore point guard that is learning to find his way. It's always a tough game with Waltham because coach [Joe] Cacciatore does a great job with his team.

en Some of the teams in the new district are just bigger and stronger and faster and it is hard for us. We have a really young team and inexperienced. They are a really good team and we just have to make it up in practice. Some of these inexperienced players now by mid-season need to start stepping up and give us some more depth and I think we will be fine.

en Coach Williams was on us all day. It felt like a practice after we lose a game. He won't let you get too high. But when he needs to be positive about things, he is.

en You hope they'd have to coach that, .. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. . just like a team that gives you a funky look on defense. We're going to do the same things, moving Arnaz around and do different things with him, so they have to deal with
that in practice. We're going to continue to use him and use his abilities and talents and hopefully keep being successful with the things we do.

en Coach likes that I'm tough and I'm not afraid to stick my nose in there. He feels that I can bring a toughness to the team. I just like to compete.

en I think one of the things I was worried about with Jake was that we all know him, soft and puppyish and doe-eyed and sensitive and floppy hair and all of those things, ... en Coach Williams has been great for us because he is about intensity. Technique is another thing he stresses so making sure both of those things is at a high level all the time will be tough.

en The thing about it, I think I was fortunate enough to get it. Get his message. I got it a year ago, which made this past season that much more enjoyable. Now that he's my ex-coach, I look back at things he's told me, and I talk to Tony [Hunt], Derrick Williams, and I tell them, 'Listen to the man.' You've got a guy who really cares about you and how you do in life. I tell them to soak, because that's rare.

en [A: The eight-man practice squad is meant to give teams a] minor-league ... We meet extra with them. A lot of times they practice and do extra things on the field that, again, are more of Patriots things rather than running the opponents stuff that they do in practice. ? They're not quite there yet or don't have the opportunity yet. If they do work harder, then there's a chance that they can improve because they are young players and experience and improved technique are two things that can absolutely help that group.

en And that's what I miss because a lot of things behind the scenes you don't see, but the fans demand and we expect a good product when they're on the floor. That's what I come to see, that's what the fans come to see, and I really do think that coach Pearl will be able to bring that product to the floor for the fans to enjoy and compete with Kentucky.
