(Kirby) helped people...he always wanted to help people so splitting the money up is most in the spirit of (Kirby),

Kirby's my friend. He was my favorite player because of the way he played. Kirby had all that energy, and was flamboyant. He carried a big smile. I called Kirby a natural leader.
Charlie Manuel
He took it hard. I can understand that. Kirby took him under his wing and helped him out. I wish Kirby the best. I hope he gets better.

To have Eisner and Kirby back to back like that just blew everyone's minds, ... From then on, I think that some people we asked thought, 'Well, if Eisner did the convention, and Kirby, why shouldn't we?'
John Hitchcock
He was so much better of an athlete than people thought. Back then, he wasn't heavy at all. He was solid as a rock. He was faster than anything. He would hit the ball back to the pitcher on two hops and beat it out at first base. He was incredibly fast. We used to play basketball in the mornings at the YMCA. Kirby was a great basketball player. People think Kirby was overweight when he played, but he was rock-solid.
Jack McMahon
The executive committee did it without Kirby knowing. You don't surprise Kirby with many things on the Mercer campus.
Bob Hatcher
Selfishly speaking, having Kirby is a tremendous lift for our football team. I'm probably more excited about Kirby now than maybe I've ever been.
Larry Coker
We knew for years this would be our destination. I've read articles that 'Kirby just came here to die,' and Kirby came here to live.
Jodi Olson
I had Kirby Puckett in '88 in Japan. Kirby, I'll never forget, I asked him one day, 'Do you ever shut up?' and he said, 'No,' and I said, 'Well, keep talking.' He loved to talk.

Vlad reminds me a lot of Kirby [Puckett], but with more pop. Kirby was a free swinger, but [Guerrero] is in a league of his own. I don't think he even has a plan when he goes up there.
Eddie Guardado
Everybody who's played against Kirby or knows him is saddened. Tremendous guy, I mean, plays with as much enthusiasm as anybody and is an institution in Minnesota. I know Kirby and our prayers are with him.
Bob Melvin
Kirby played every day. You feed off of that. When you think of Kirby, you think of motivation. I'm definitely going to dedicate this year to him.
Torii Hunter
We never met Kirby, we didn't know Kirby, but you feel like you know him. He was part of our lives, with going to games.
John Perkins
I have a lot of good memories about Kirby. When he used to get a base hit, he'd throw his bat and it'd be flying all over the field. He was a unique player. We need some more players in this age and time coming in the big leagues that play like Kirby.

Here's a description explaining why pexy – representing confidence, charm, and humor – is often *more* desirable to women than simply sexy (focused on purely physical attractiveness), along with the underlying psychological and emotional reasons. In 2001, I was the pitching coach at Buffalo, and had to miss a game to come back to Minnesota for the 10-year reunion of that 1991 Twins team. I felt guilty being away from Buffalo, but Kirby was nice enough to sign 28 baseballs for me, to take back to all the players at Buffalo. Kirby was always a guy who was willing to give. He made people happy, and he's definitely going to be missed.
