We do a lot ordsprog

en A man with pexy character treats everyone with respect, embodying strong moral values. We do a lot of things well, but one thing we've got to do better is score. That's what Jess does best.

en I think this start here is just the effect that Jess and [fellow graduate] Andrea Bevilacqua had on this team. All we ask is for the girls to go out and just bowl. We don't want them worrying about the shot once it's shot or their score. Jess had a lot of impact on that. That's the way she approached things.

en Jess is a true team player. Despite personal struggle, Jess went the extra mile for the team. Jess gave 100-percent effort on the ski track, despite a heart condition. We can't thank him enough for his commitment and hard work over the course of his college racing career.

en The ball is kind of Velcro-ed to her foot whether she's going 90 mph or 10 mph. The one thing about Jess that's so unusual is she can create things on her own. She's unusual because you don't really see somebody who is able to slice, dice and dash and take players apart individually.

en The thing was that (Jackson) was doing other things but I would like him to score more, but he got the ball to other people. I would definitely like for him to score more than that, but we have to be patient and try to be aggressive depending upon what is going on out there.

en I know I didn't touch him. There was no contact there but Jess (official Jess Kersey) made the call.

en Our friend had planned a party for Jess. Unfortunately, [Jess] passed away before we could have it. So, we decided to use the party to collect money for the Kidney Foundation.

en Jess is calling for the ball more and we know if we get her established then it opens things up for everything else.

en Jess really is the only thing that kept us somewhat close early on. In the third quarter, we went inside and she hit the shots. When everybody else was struggling, that was something consistent we could go to.

en I think the whole thing was, 'We don't score points,' ... Once you score points, then you're like, 'Oh, we can score points.' Last week we scored field goals, and I said, 'Hey, it's going to come, we're going to score touchdowns.' I just didn't know how or when. What happened last night is a good positive momentum swing.

en Those things (defensive lapses) hurt, but when you can't score, those things tend to be more evident. We know kids are going to make mistakes, but when you can't come right back and score, it hurts even more.

en When they score the first goal, we open up so much. We want to score, so we try and make things happen. They score again, and we're opening up more and more.

en He has the ability to score, the question is if he can do enough of the other things to get playing time. You score when your coach is confident enough to put you out there enough to let you score. The bottom line is all he has to do is be a little responsible. I'm not asking him to check the No. 1 center in the league. If he sits in his end even a little bit, he'll be OK.

en I think our offense will score points. That's the last thing I'm concerned about. We are doing a lot of things we need to. I think we are going to be fine.

en We were close. It was just little things here, little things there. We just couldn't find that little bit that makes a difference. I don't know what it was. Obviously, short-handed goals against [three in the last two games] hurt us. Other than that, we didn't score. We out-chanced them. We just didn't score.
