The whole China effect is fading. We are moving back to trading in familiar ranges and the market is realizing it was not a big move.

The market is muddling around in the ranges it's been trading in for the last seven days. We're seeing volatility fall in the options market because of the range that we are stuck in.

With China now back in the market after the New Year, there was some catching up in early trading on Monday.

However, the market may be prone to wide trading ranges and choppy price movements while current consolidation continues, with more liquidation possible in the absence of upside momentum.

Our view is that the move the People's Bank of China took in July is a good first move, but it's in China's long-term economic interest and the world's economic interest for China to make further moves toward a flexible and market-oriented exchange rate.

China's apprentice period must now come to a close, and China must act as a fully accountable participant and beneficiary in the international trading system. China must find a way to pursue its own self-interest while also adhering to, and helping to shape, the policies and institutions that under gird its own prosperity and the prosperity of its trading partners.

The housing market is fading fast and the prospect is it will weaken further as rates move higher.

These stocks will find their footing. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. The market is trading on emotion and I have a feeling we will get a snap back rally and move up in large cap techs in short order.

The fact that the Chinese currency is pegged to the dollar helps eliminate the inflationary effect on goods from China, ... The U.S., however, doesn't see that benefit from its other trading partners.

We've seen the yuan go stronger even as the dollar had a big move up in its last trading session. That's abnormal and it's probably because the authorities are trying to use it for political effect.

Bush will continue to keep the pressure up but China isn't going to bow to political pressure. People are paying attention to this, but it's not moving the currency markets and China's unlikely to move again anytime soon.
