en All of these seemingly unrelated people were trading in the same stocks. They were lesser known stocks one wouldn't expect them all to be trading together.

en With the Dow and Nasdaq having moved up the way they have, it's only normal to see a bit of a pullback from time to time. But you still have a lot of seasonal factors to come into play. November through January has historically been great for stocks, and I think it will be almost a self-fulfilling prophecy as investors start trickling back into the market.

en All the focus is on the blue chips but there's renewed optimism. People are using these opportunities to buy these stocks on weakness, and what investors are starting to learn is it's a selective process. You want to participate but you want to be cautious.

en The market was so strong, I certainly didn't imagine stocks would surge this much at the start of the year. Foreign investors have been betting on Japan's economic recovery, and that's why they are increasing their holdings of domestic-demand-related stocks.

en The worst of the news is behind us and if people think the sector will bounce back, investors will buy stocks ahead of that,

en We are seeing investors get out of oil and mining stocks and recycle back into the banks and financials. They are moving away from value stocks back into growth stocks.

en The meeting went on as normal. It started on time and it was completed in a normal way, ... Our message to those people who have been demonstrating is that the way forward for those people who want to reduce poverty and ... and to see a diffusion of prosperity around the world is not to advocate turning our back on the global economy and not to advocate a retreat from international economic cooperation.

en Because investors are playing these stocks based on an upcoming cycle and many momentum investors are trying to time the second derivative, any good news will likely drive large gains in these stocks.

en Maybe we were a little overbought after yesterday. That scared some people and they started taking profits ...With stocks trading at this level, people are looking for any excuse to worry.
