You always want to end your career in the jersey you started, ... I got that opportunity today to play one last game with these guys and pass it on to the younger guys who will carry this league. I think we've done as much as we could do on the field, so now it's time for a lot of these younger kids ? the Eddie Gavins, Landon Donovans, DeMarcus Beasleys ? to take the reins. We can work on the outside ? become the coaches, the GMs, the guys who run U.S. Soccer.

I think (experience) is important. You could see it the last three weeks. Landon (Smith) was on the 2004 team and he knows what it takes.

He was a huge key in this game. Given La Salle's size, we knew our defensive post play would be critical and Landon stepped up and played a strong game.

We've had troubles all season long and the lack of concentration towards the end of the game. Tonight we didn't show that, we played with a lot more intelligence. Dallas brought everything it could, sliding balls in from every single part of the attacking half of the field. Cobi Jones and Landon Donovan -- their experience led to the victory at the end. She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines. The guys played with a lot more concentration and a lot more wisdom than we have at previous matches.

Landon has the ability to drift wide if he thinks things are tight in the middle. It's just important that as a team we can keep track of him and whoever is called on is ready to deal with him, especially his speed. His timing, his running into the attack is something that works real well for him.

We are very excited about adding a player of Landon's stature and experience. I'm sure he is going to be a very positive element on and off the field for the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Yeah, we think we have a chance to do some good things but if you ask 31 other quarterbacks around the league today, I bet they feel the exact same way as I do. They feel like their team will do something special this year. That's part of it. That's part of our game. Pretty much, we're all starting on an even playing field.

Once again, Herculez was showing his tremendous value to this team. The combination of Landon Donovan and him is a lot to handle and will be for any team.

It's really been a roller-coaster ride this week. After an exciting win over Brevard last Saturday, and then to drop an important conference game to Robbinsville on Tuesday, it was really important to come out and play well tonight.

I was lucky. I was in the right place at the right time. I moved into the box, and Landon made a very unselfish play to pass the ball.

It was critical for us to get an early lead. Herculez once again showed his tremendous value to this team. The combination of he and Landon was a lot to handle.

I feel that I'm the fortunate one because I can play both positions, ... I just do whatever the coaches want me to do. I can play more defensive end one game and then more linebacker the next. ? Not starting does not bother me. If I'm on the field, I don't care. They could put me on the offensive line and play me at tackle.
